My time in the AF taught me one thing, the places I went I didn't have enough time to appreciate fully due to a lack of time. I really want to get back to Japan, go to Russia and meet Ajahs relatives and see more of Canada that I rushed through as well. I won't have to rush because I won't be moving from one home to another, it will be with me. My down sizing hasn't been just my insane hatred of dust (which I am highly allergic too) and love of quick cleaning, its so that when home moves with me on a plane or van or bike, most everything fits and can go without a bunch of money wasted on storage. The van should be all the storage I need and can be parked for that time with a friend or family member.Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17679696759533657195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6878811430682222552.post-18382155774879617362010-11-11T07:42:29.827-08:002010-11-11T07:42:29.827-08:00I really like this post! The style of nomadic life you speak of is one that even many, if not most, full-time travelers don't achieve. It is the most enjoyable way to live that I know and yet, it is very easy to let yourself get bound to arrival times and destinations based on what others want. Stick to your guns when you do get out there and experience as you choose, just as you describe.

We have learned to balance that no-plan lifestyle with our need to visit friends and family once in a while as well. This last blast around the country has done a lot to fine tune that balance. We are getting better at it :) At any rate, Thank you for sharing your plans and thoughts! You write very well!

-Mike
97 Roadtrek 170P "Taj Ma Trek"
